Short Itinerary for Kedarnath and Badrinath Tour ex-Delhi

Day 1: Haridwar to Guptkashi/Sitapur
Day 2: Guptkashi/Sitapur to sonprayag drop
Day 3: Sonprayag to Sitapur/Guptkashi
Day 4: Sonprayag to Badrinath

Day 1

Haridwar - Guptkashi (8-9 hrs)

Drive 220 km 

Morning after breakfast, check out from the hotel. Drive towards Guptkashi. Enroute you can see the beautiful river Mandakini at Tilwara. The Mandakini river comes from Kedarnath, drive alongside the river to reach Guptakashi, visit Ardh Narishwar Temple in Guptakashi. Check into the hotel arrival in Guptakashi. Overnight stay at Guptakashi. 

Guptakashi:- The name Gupt Kashi means "Hidden Benares. Mythology describes how when the Pandava brothers were searching for a glimpse of Shiva, Shivji first concealed himself at Guptkashi, but later fled from them further up the valley to Kedarnath, where the Pandavas finally got their wish fulfilled. There are more tangible connections as well-the Kedarnath pandas (priests) live in Guptkashi during the winter months, and after the Kedarnath temple closes for the winter, the image of Kedarnath passes through Gupt Kashi on its way to Ukhimath (across the valley), where it stays for the winter.

Guptkashi Weather - pleasant in summer, the temperature ranges from 25-30 degrees Celsius. Cold in winters.

Day 2

Guptkashi - Kedarnath 

Drive 30 km 

Morning after breakfast our driver will transfer you to Sonprayag.From Sonprayag you have to go at Gaurikund with local taxi and from Gaurikund to Kedarnath dham is the pedestal path.

Day 3

Kedarnath-Guptkashi 

Drive 30 km 

At arrival in Kedarnath reach Kedarnath Temple. Visit Kedarnath Temple. After darshan return to the Sonprayag. Our driver will pick up you from Sonprayag and take you to your hotel. 

Day 4

Guptkashi to Badrinath 

Drive220 km

The morning after breakfast, drive to Badrinath. Check in to the hotel's arrival in Badrinath. Pilgrims after having a bath in the Taptkund have the Darshan of Badrivishal & Aarti in the evening. Overnight stay at Badrinath. 

Day 5

Badrinath to Haridwar

Drive 310 km

Pilgrims after having a bath in the Taptkund have the Darshan of Badrivishal & Mana village and return to Haridwar.
